and Governance Powers and duties of Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University
Pursuant to the
powers and duties of the Rajabhat
University Act B.E. 2547 (2004) under
Chapter 1, General Provisions, Section
7, the university shall be an
institution of higher education for
local development that enhances the
intellectual power of the country,
revitalizes the power of learning,
honors local wisdom, creates arts and
sciences for the stable and sustainable
progress of the people, and participates
in the management, maintenance, and
utilization of natural resources and the
environment in a balanced and
sustainable manner. The objectives are
to provide education, promote academic
and advanced professions, conduct
teaching, conduct research, provide
academic services to society, improve,
transfer, and develop technology,
nurture arts and culture, produce
teachers and promote teacher
qualifications. Section 8 In order to
achieve the objectives under Section 7,
the duties of the university are as
follows: (1) To seek the truth for
academic excellence on the basis of
local wisdom, Thai wisdom, and universal
wisdom. (2) To produce graduates with
knowledge and morality, to be aware of
being Thai, to love and be attached to
their locality, and to promote lifelong
learning in the community to help local
people keep up with changes. The
production of such graduates The
quantity and quality must be in line
with the country's graduate
production plan. (3) Enhance knowledge
and understanding of the value,
awareness and pride in local and
national culture. (4) Learn and
strengthen community leaders, religious
leaders and local politicians to have
democratic consciousness, morality,
ethics and the ability to administer
community and local development for the
benefit of the public. (5) Strengthen
the teaching profession, produce and
develop teachers and educational
personnel with quality and standards
appropriate for a high-level profession.
(6) Coordinate cooperation and provide
assistance among universities,
communities, local administrative
organizations and other organizations
both domestically and internationally
for local development. (7) Study and
seek ways to develop local technologies
and modern technologies that are
appropriate for the lives and
occupations of local people, including
seeking ways to promote management,
maintenance and utilization of natural
resources and the environment in a
balanced and sustainable manner. (8)
Study, research, promote and continue
royal initiative projects in the
implementation of the university's
missions for local development.
In addition to the above
duties and responsibilities, Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University has roles,
duties and responsibilities to be
carried out in accordance with the Civil
Service Act in Higher Education
Institutions B.E. 2547 and its amended
version (No. 2) B.E. 2551, as well as
the Civil Service Commission
regulations, the Civil Service
Commission announcements and other
relevant laws that have come into
effect.
