On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the College of Politics and Government, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, led by Associate Professor Police Lieutenant General Dr. Santhan Chayannon, Dean of the College of Politics and Governance, together with the College’s administrators, faculty members, staff, and students, participated in a Buddhist chanting ceremony and almsgiving ceremony to make merit in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on the occasion of National Mother’s Day 2026. The ceremony was held on the first floor of the Office of the President Building, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon, President of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by the University’s administrators, faculty members, staff, and students.
The ceremony included merit-making activities dedicated to Her Majesty, including offering breakfast to ten Buddhist monks from Wat Rachathiwat Vihara, chanting Buddhist prayers, presenting the Mahabangsukol cloth, offering Buddhist requisites and offerings, and performing the traditional water-pouring ceremony to receive blessings. The ceremony also served as an occasion for all participants to express their profound gratitude and deepest respect for Her Majesty’s immeasurable royal benevolence.
