Personnel of the College of Politics and Government, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, participated in an online briefing on the implementation guidelines and procedures for applying for assessment under the Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Professional Standards Framework (SSRU PSF). The briefing was conducted via Google Meet, with Assistant Professor Dr. Nattapat Kaewrattanapat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, serving as the speaker who provided guidance and detailed information on the SSRU PSF framework.
The briefing aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of the SSRU PSF, an important framework for promoting and developing professional teaching standards. It encourages faculty members to reflect on their professional practices, plan their individual development, translate the framework into practical implementation, and use evidence and reflective practices to continuously improve learning management. The framework encompasses three key domains: Knowledge, Competencies, and Values, comprising nine sub-components, with four levels of professional quality defined according to faculty members’ roles and scope of responsibilities.
In addition, the briefing provided guidance on preparing supporting documents and evidence, the application procedures for assessment, certification of assessment results, and the process for requesting equivalency of professional quality levels. These guidelines are intended to enable faculty members to effectively plan their professional development and prepare for assessment, with a primary focus on the quality of learning management and learning outcomes.
The participation in this briefing formed part of the College of Politics and Government ongoing efforts to enhance the professional capacity of its personnel. It aims to strengthen faculty members’ knowledge and understanding of professional teaching standards, enable them to apply the SSRU PSF framework to the development of teaching and learning practices and professional development, and continuously enhance the quality of education for the maximum benefit of students.
