On 23 February 2026, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pimpchana Sribunyapornrat, Head of the Public Administration Program, together with faculty members, staff, and students from the College of Politics and Government, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, carried out the project “Curriculum Integration with Research” under the Bachelor of Public Administration Program.

The project integrated the course on Thai Local Governance with research and academic service activities in Don Mueang District, aiming to enhance public knowledge and understanding through a participatory public policy process. A representative of the Director of Don Mueang District delivered the welcome remarks.

The objective of this initiative was to enable students to critically analyze issues in Thai local governance, as well as future trends in local administration. It also aimed to strengthen collaboration among educational institutions, communities, and local administrative organizations, leading to tangible outcomes in participatory planning and joint decision-making within the community.

In addition, students participated in a study visit to Lung Sangob’s Urban Vegetable Garden. Participants in the project included the Community Development and Social Welfare Division of Don Mueang District, representatives of the Community Organizations Council, welfare fund registrars, and community leaders from Sinwong, Charoensuk, Pinngeun, Pinncharoen 4, Srikarn, Ying-olan, and Don Mueang Villa communities, along with local residents.

“The activities conducted today have opened opportunities for citizens to take part in thinking, planning, and determining the direction of their community development. This will enhance knowledge, understanding, and awareness of citizens’ rights, duties, and roles within local democratic governance. Integrating teaching and learning in the Bachelor of Public Administration Program—particularly the Thai Local Governance course—with real-area research allows students to learn from real-life situations while working closely with communities and relevant agencies. This process generates knowledge, practical approaches, and strong collaborative networks that will serve as a vital foundation for the future development of Don Mueang District,” said the representative of the Director of Don Mueang District.
