Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimchana Sribunyaparat, Head of the Public Administration Program and Lecturer in Public and Private Sector Management, represented the Urban Well-being Academic Center of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University—responsible for Don Mueang and Phasi Charoen Districts—in participating in the district-level quality-of-life progress review forum. The event, held on 1–2 November 2025 at TK Palace Hotel, Chaeng Watthana, was organized through the collaboration between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), and network partners. Key district-level stakeholders, including district offices, public health service centers, academic centers for well-being, and district management units, joined the discussion to exchange views and operational directions, aiming to strengthen sustainable community well-being mechanisms.
This forum marked a significant milestone in enhancing the clarity and integration of “district mechanisms,” particularly in prioritizing urgent well-being issues within local areas, jointly planning short- and medium-term actions, and developing efficient coordination systems along with fast and responsive referral pathways. These efforts reflect advancements in health and well-being (SDG 3), as well as the establishment of systematic indicators and monitoring frameworks. Moreover, the process empowers local teams and communities to take part in proactive problem-solving, aligning with the development of safe, accessible, and sustainable urban environments in all dimensions (SDG 11). It also fosters district-level data systems and shared knowledge that can serve as a model for scaling up to other areas of Bangkok.
The collaborative process underscores the power of partnership among government agencies, academic institutions, public health organizations, and community network partners—a key foundation for building strong and sustained development alliances (SDG 17). Such collaboration serves as a core mechanism driving effective and sustainable improvements in the quality of life for urban residents.
This initiative highlights yet another vital role of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in advancing academic engagement for social service, expanding knowledge, and contributing to the development of a strong and sustainable quality-of-life system for urban communities.
