“Legal Knowledge Training Project to Improve the Quality of Life of Prisoners”

On March 12-13, 2025, the Justice Innovation Development Division organized the 3rd-4th Legal Knowledge Training Project to Improve the Quality of Life of Prisoners at the Special Women’s Correctional Institution in Pathum Thani Province. The lecturers were Assistant Professor Thanawat Phisitchinda, a lecturer in the Department of Law, Faculty of Politics and Governance, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Mr. Chaturong Phuemrungruang, a lecturer in the Department of Law, Faculty of Politics and Governance, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, and Ms. Ritthisa Thepchomphu. There were 39 inmates who attended the training.

In this training, the lecturers gave a lecture on the principles of criminal procedure law, the criminal justice process in Thailand, and the Royal Decree on Measures to Prevent and Suppress Technology Crimes B.E. 2566, so that inmates would gain basic legal knowledge about electronic transactions, opening bank accounts for others to use to cause damage, and fraud using computer systems. When released from prison and re-entering society, they would gain knowledge about the law and how to live in today’s society. Including providing legal advice in various cases to answer questions, relieve anxiety, reduce stress, and have the inmates take a test before and after the training and give encouragement to go out to be a quality member of society. In addition, the inmates cooperated in expressing their opinions and asking questions very well.
