On 26 November 2025, the College of Politics and Government, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized the project “Promoting and Supporting Personnel and Students in Publishing International Academic Articles” at the Supannika Room, Wang Suan Sunandha Hotel. The event was held under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wijitra Srisorn, Deputy Dean for Administration. The project was honored by Asst. Prof. Pol. Lt. Gen. Dr. Sunthan Chayannon, Dean of the College of Politics and Government, who presided over the opening ceremony, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yothin Sawaengdee, who served as the keynote speaker delivering knowledge on article-writing techniques, selecting high-quality international journals, article submission procedures, and developing academic work to meet international standards.
This project served not only as an academic skills training initiative but also as a significant starting point for promoting the societal benefits of research produced by the College. In particular, research in the fields of political science, public policy, and community development has been applied in collaboration with local government agencies and academic networks in the region. This collaboration has enabled research findings to be utilized in improving public administration and real-world community development. Several articles published following participation in the project have been used to support the revision of local development plans by local administrative organizations in neighboring provinces and have contributed to enhancing public participation in public policy processes in tangible ways. Moreover, many staff members and students have been able to develop innovative knowledge in local politics, community management, and area-based social problem-solving, leading to a continuous increase in the publication of articles in quality journals. This growth has expanded the body of new knowledge that can be further utilized in research, academic services, and external community development.
The project also reflects the University’s commitment to creating sustainable outcomes in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aligns with Goal 4: Quality Education by increasing opportunities for staff and learners to access international-level knowledge and develop high-standard research skills, thereby contributing to the production of graduates and researchers capable of driving social progress based on evidence. The project also supports Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, as it provides students from diverse backgrounds equitable opportunities to access international publication platforms. Furthermore, it relates to Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by generating knowledge on public policy and good governance that can be applied to improve the administrative processes of local organizations. Lastly, the project aligns with Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collaboration among universities, research agencies, academic networks both domestically and internationally, and relevant civil society organizations, all working together to maximize the use of research for sustainable development.
