Between March 19–22, 2025, a team of scholars from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University—comprising Ms. Khwanta Benchakhan, Assistant Professor Dr. Mathinee Kongsatit, Mr. Watcharakorn Chaleayprath, and Mr. Ittichet Kalsuwan—conducted fieldwork in Khlong Nok Kratung Subdistrict, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province, as part of the project titled "Enhancing the Value of Products and Services to Raise Income for Grassroots Communities in Nakhon Pathom Province" under the 2025 fiscal year.

As part of this initiative, a sub-activity was organized in the form of a workshop on “Improving Quality of Life and Upgrading the Grassroots Economy to Develop Area-Based Plans at the Subdistrict Level.”

This activity focused on transferring essential knowledge and skills necessary for sustainable community economic development. It emphasized consultation and guidance on using tools for cost management, expense reduction, and income generation for grassroots households. Additionally, the workshop enhanced the capacity for inventory management in community businesses through strategies such as zoning products, optimizing storage, and implementing systematic inventory control—all aimed at strengthening local enterprises.

The training was held at the Khlong Nok Kratung Water Hyacinth Weaving Community Enterprise Office, and was honored by the presence of Ms. Somwadee Ningnoi and Mr. Nithikitti Rattanajamrasrat, who served as guest speakers. They shared their expertise and exchanged experiences on various aspects of community economic development.

This project reflects a strong commitment to sustainable development, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly:

  • Goal 1: No Poverty, as the activities help increase household incomes for grassroots communities and reduce economic inequality through mechanisms that promote self-reliance and efficient community resource management.
  • Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by providing community members with new skills necessary for employment and supporting the growth of local small businesses.
  • Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by encouraging community participation in area-based planning, fostering systematic local development, and building communities capable of managing themselves sustainably.
