"On
December 22-23, 2024, Assistant
Professor Kwanta Benjakhan, Asst. Prof.
Dr. Mathinee Kongsathit, Mr. Wacharakorn
Chelayprach, and Mr. Ittichet Kalasuwan
organized a workshop on developing the
quality of life and upgrading the
grassroots economy to create a spatial
development plan at the sub-district
level in Khlong Nok Krathung
Sub-district, Bang Len District, Nakhon
Pathom Province under the project to
increase the value of products and
services to increase income for
grassroots communities in Nakhon Pathom
Province, fiscal year 2025.
This
sub-district-level spatial development
plan is a survey of basic information in
Khlong Nok Krathung Sub-district, Bang
Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province,
and a plan to implement activities to
improve the quality of life of people in
the area by increasing the value of
products and services to increase income
for grassroots communities in Nakhon
Pathom Province, such as developing
products from local raw materials and
reusing waste, analyzing SWOT in the
community, and determining career
development activities/product
development that are consistent with the
household context, including effective
waste management. In addition, tools
that help reduce costs and increase
income were introduced, such as the
development of social innovations
(Paradigm Shift) and promoting online
marketing channels. In addition, the
College of Politics and Governance has
also created a collaboration with a
network partner, namely the Water
Hyacinth Weaving Community Enterprise of
Ban Khlong Nok Krathung, Nakhon Pathom
Province, with Mr. Atsakorn Panphet as a
speaker to share knowledge on this
occasion.
The above activities
are in line with several Sustainable
Development Goals, including:
Goal 1:
Eradicate poverty by increasing economic
opportunities and raising the income of
grassroots communities
Goal 8: Decent
employment and economic growth by
promoting job creation through product
development and marketing
Goal 12:
Sustainable consumption and production
by supporting efficient resource use and
reducing waste
Goal 17: Cooperation
for sustainable development by creating
collaboration between the College of
Politics and Governance and community
enterprises to help strengthen local
development
This activity is another
activity in which the College of
Politics and Governance is an agency
that plays a part in sustainable
community development, focusing on
integrating local resource management
and raising grassroots community
economies to grow in a balanced and
sustainable way."
