On Monday, April 28, 2025, at 8:50 a.m., at the Seminar Room B1-2, B1 Floor, Parliament Building, Dr. Saroj Boonsermwan, Head of the Political Science Program (Politics and Governance), together with students from the Bachelor of Political Science Program, College of Politics and Governance, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, participated in the "Library Talk" project under the topic "Earthquakes Are Closer Than You Think: How Ready Are We to Face Them?"

The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Natthakrit Wongcharoen, Deputy Secretary-General of the House of Representatives. The report was presented by Mr. Chetha Thongying, Director of the Academic Bureau. The event was honored by distinguished speakers including Associate Professor Dr. Nantana Nantavoropas, Senator; Ms. Saniwan Buaban, Member of Parliament and Committee Advisor; Professor Dr. Nakorn Phuwarodom, Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, Thammasat University; and Dr. Paiboon Nuannil, a seismologist.
The discussion was moderated by Mr. Narongrit Kidhen, a radio program officer.

The event, organized by the Library Group of the Academic Bureau, aimed to raise awareness among parliamentarians, government officials, students, and the general public about earthquake preparedness in Thailand. It emphasized the importance of accessing credible information sources, analyzing information accurately, and fostering informed decision-making.
This activity also supports the SMART Parliament vision, promotes the Parliament Library's role as a national leader in legislative information services, and encourages public engagement through reading initiatives ("Library for All").
